A cappella group Straight No Chaser will perform at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

If the phrase “male a cappella group” conjures up an image of students in blue blazers, ties and khakis singing traditional college songs on ivied campuses… think again.

Straight No Chaser is neither strait‐laced nor straight‐faced, but neither are they vaudeville-style kitsch.

They have emerged as a phenomenon with a massive fan base, numerous national TV appearances and proven success with CD releases.

The New Old Fashioned Tour comes to The MACC on the heels of their new release, The New Old Fashioned, their fifth album through Atlantic Records. The album features an eclectic array of songs that explore multiple influential musical eras highlighted by signature and singularly unique medleys.

On the road, Straight No Chaser has built a reputation as an unforgettable live act.

It’s the real deal, the captivating sound of ten unadulterated human voices coming together to make extraordinary music that is moving people in a fundamental sense… and with a sense of humor.

Advance tickets are $31.50, $41.50 and $51.50, plus applicable fees); day-of-show tickets are $3.50 more.

Purchase tickets by at The MACC Box Office or by calling (808) 242-SHOW (7469), Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets are available online 24/7.
