Maui Surf Forecast
North: Well overhead to double overhead surf is expected for the best spots today. More sheltered exposures will be smaller.
West: Wrap from a northwest swell will bring head high to overhead surf to West Maui spots that have northern exposure. Out of the south-southwest just knee high waves expected.
South: Wave heights are knee/waist high today out of the south-southwest.
West-northwest / northwest swell is expected to continue dropping out. Another round of northwest swell is expected to fill in and peak on Wednesday at double overhead or more. Size begins to ease late Thursday.
Trade swell is expected to remain pretty small through the week.
Our current south-southwest lingers through midweek with wave heights topping out in the thigh high range.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
