Friends of Stacey Moniz announces its campaign kickoff, “2016: A Fresh Start,” on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hannibal Tavares Community Center in Pukalani.
Moniz, a lifelong social justice advocate, is running for the Maui County Council Upcountry seat (Pukalani, Kula and ‘Ulupalakua).
The suggested donation for a home-cooked shoyu chicken and rice plate is $20.
Morning Goddess Alaka‘i Paleka will serve as the event’s emcee; Richard Dancil, Wes Furuomoto and Nestor Ugale Jr. will provide the entertainment.
