Police issued a stolen vehicle report last week saying the vehicle was stolen from the location at around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016.

In a Facebook message reporting the theft, Inman said that the hospice facility, “was a refuge for me and our delivery vehicle for Maui Pasta.”

The recovered vehicle still had the Maui Pasta Company magnet on its driver side door and the license plate identifying the vehicle was intact.

At least one company stepped forward prior to the recovery saying they wanted to help.

Lorelei Torino with Phase One Detailing messaged us saying, “When the vehicle is found if it is in operable condition we will honor them by gifting them a full detail in and out.”
The value of the detailing is estimated at between $475 and $500.  Torino, who said she knows the owners, and also lost a family member to cancer said, “It’s the least we could do.”
Maui Pasta Company came into the spotlight locally just a few weeks ago when Patricia Inman shared with Maui Now her struggles after learning suddenly that her husband Ron was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma that spread to his brain and lungs.
A GoFundMe account to try to save Maui Pasta Company amid the owners’ struggles has since raised $24,835 by 176 contributors since it was first set up 12 days ago.
