The Maui Department of Water Supply is asking customers in Nāpili and Honokōwai to conserve water and avoid any unnecessary water use until noon on Thursday, March 10, 2016.

Department officials say the request comes following a Maui Electric power failure in Nāpili at approximately 11 p.m. on Tuesday night, March 8, 2016.

Power was restored at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9; however the department is currently pumping water to restore normal levels.

Department officials thanked affected customers in advance for their cooperation and understanding.

The public can call the department’s 24-hour hotline at (808) 270-7633 if a water-related problem occurs or if there are any questions.
