The Haleakalā Visitor Center, located at the 9,741 foot elevation on the crater rim, will re-open at sunrise on Saturday, March 19, 2016.
The center was closed for four weeks while workers performed maintenance and made repairs to the building’s automatic doors and frames.
Upon delivery in late spring, new doors will be installed in the existing frames.
The project is funded by park entrance fee dollars.
