Other units responding to the scene included the department’s Engine 9, Engine 4 and Engine 12.

According to Capt. Yatsushiro, light winds allowed fire crews to get initial knockdown of the fire just as Air 1 arrived on scene.

At 4:30 p.m., the fire was officially declared contained with crews remaining on scene to put out hot spots and work toward completely extinguishing the fire.
