Imua Family Services announced today that it was named for the fifth consecutive year as one of the 2016 Best Places to Work in both Hawaiʻi and in the nation in an annual listing compiled by the Hawaiʻi Business Magazine

As a seven-time winner in the category, the non-profit Imua Family Services is now classified as a Platinum Winner.  Imua Family Services was recognized on the Best Places to Work list in 2008, 2010, and 2012-2016.

As in previous years, the data from Imua Family Services employees was gathered and analyzed by an independent research organization, the Best Companies Group.  The survey and awards programs are designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Hawaii and nationally, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses.

Selection is reportedly based on a comprehensive review of each organization’s benefits, career development, training and retention as well as feedback from employees through the extensive survey.

In a congratulatory article written by Hawaiʻi Business Magazine, “when Dean Wong (Imua’s Executive Director) describes the people and programs that collectively make up Imua Family Services, one word resonates louder than the rest: progressive. While the non-profit has been helping children with developmental or behavioral challenges on Maui and Lānaʻi since 1947, the desire to keep moving forward, or in Hawaiian, Imua, has always been at the heart of this agencies mission.”

Today Imua Family Services “Empowers families and their children to reach their full potential.” Each year, over 3,000 community members on Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi receive support from Imua Family Services through the Infant & Child Development Program, Early Childhood Development Program, Newborn Hearing Screening, and Camp Imua.
