The Shops at Wailea launched its very first ARTwalk on Wednesday, April 6, a fine art and entertainment event that will be held monthly at the center’s second-level art galleries on the first Wednesday of each month.

ARTwalk is a fun, complimentary event that gives guests the opportunity to meet fellow art lovers, visitors and residents, and experience the creativity of some of Hawai‘i’s and the world’s finest artists.

Each month, ARTwalk will share a common theme in art, entertainment, food and activities.

The inaugural event celebrated World Art with artists from Hawai‘i and around the world represented, featuring originals, limited-edition prints and sculpture.

Guests also had the opportunity to meet Modern Figurative Artist Andrea Razzauti; Abstract & Still Life Artist Dario Campanile; The Twins, who paint on Hawaiian koa wood; Maui Plein Air Artist Ronaldo Macedo; and Steve Turnbull, an exotic wood sculptor at Lahaina Galleries.

Ki‘i Galleries at The Shops was established on Maui over two decades ago. Ki’i offers art glass and jewelry designs including pearl jewelry. Ki‘i Galleries features jewelry and artwork created by Maui artists that are available nowhere else in the world.

Kaua‘i photographer Aaron Feinberg of aFeinberg Gallery was in residence for a meet-and-greet. Feinberg has a gift for capturing the beauty and natural movement of life. What started as a hobby photographing friends while skiing in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah has developed into a world-class, award-winning fine art portfolio with two galleries on Kaua‘i and one on Maui.

Mouche Gallery, curated by founder Keiko Noah, features contemporary art and photography that are trending in the forefront of culture, from the latest picks of the world’s art fairs, such as artist Josef Hoflehner, to museum quality portraits of inspirational figures, including Coco Chanel, David Bowie and Andy Warhol.

Eclectic Image Gallery offers collections of canyons and island images from around the world, color and black-and-white images, polaroid transfer, pastel etchings, polaroid emulsion lifts, “outside the lines” hand tinted works, as well as images printed on canvas.

Linare/Brecht Fine Art is a contemporary art gallery featuring the work of artists from the US and abroad. The gallery’s main area of focus is painting, but includes works in all media.

National Geographic | Fine Art Galleries presents fine art photography through exclusive limited editions embodying the rich heritage of the National Geographic Society and National Geographic magazine.

National Geographic galleries are places of learning, where conservation of natural resources, the importance of natural places and the wildlife that inhabit the world come to life with every photographic creation.

Four-hour event parking validations are available at the monthly event with a portion of the proceeds to benefit select charities.
