Maui police responded to 31 burglaries, 16 vehicle thefts, and 15 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between April 10-16, 2016.

The number of vehicle thefts doubled from last week with 16 incidents reported.  Of those, three of the vehicles have since been recovered.  The incidents were reported in Kahului, Kīhei, Kula, Lahaina, Nāpiali, Pāʻia, Pukalani, Waiehu and Wailuku.

Burglary incidents were up to 31 from the 28 incidents reported the week before.

Vehicle break-ins were down to 15 from 20 incidents reported the week before.  The greatest number was in Kahului, with five incidents reported over seven days.
