Maui Electric Aerial Line Inspections Scheduled May 4 – 5

Maui Electric Company will be using a helicopter to perform routine power line inspections on Maui, Lāna‘i and Moloka‘i on Wednesday, May 4 and Thursday, May 5, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Weather permitting, the inspections will take place in the area from Kahului to Hāna, Haleakalā, West Maui and all of Lāna‘i and Moloka‘i.

Company representatives say routine aerial inspections of Maui Electric’s equipment, including electrical lines, poles and substations, are necessary to maintain stable and reliable electrical service for the Maui County community.
