An Oregon man was transported to the hospital in stable condition after being pulled unresponsive from the ocean at Ulua Beach in Wailea on Sunday morning, April 24, 2016.

The incident was reported at 9:05 a.m. and firefighters arrived at 9:14 a.m. to find a man lying on the beach with family members.

Fire officials say the 62-year-old man was snorkeling with a family member when he suddenly complained of feeling fatigued. He was assisted back to shore by the family member but became unresponsive when they reached the beach, according to department reports.
