The Shops at Wailea celebrated their official grand opening of ARTwalk at The Shops Wednesday, May 4. ARTWalk is a fine art and entertainment event that is held monthly at the center’s second-level art galleries on the first Wednesday of each month.

ARTwalk is a fun, complimentary event that gives guests the opportunity to meet fellow art lovers, visitors and residents, and experience the creativity of some of Hawai‘i’s and the world’s finest artists.

The event promotes local visual art and artists in a wide range of mediums and artistic styles, including painting, sculpture, metal art, jewelry, photography, pottery and glass.

Each month, ARTwalk will share a common theme in art, entertainment, food and activities. The month of May was centered around the theme of Hawaiiana.

The event celebrated World Art with artists from Hawai‘i and around the world represented, featuring originals, limited-edition prints and sculpture.

Guests also had the opportunity to meet several artists.

Linare/Brecht Fine Art is a contemporary art gallery featuring the work of artists from the US and abroad. The gallery’s main area of focus is painting, but includes works in all media. Wednesday night’s ARTWalk was also their Grand Opening celebration!

Mouche Gallery, curated by founder Keiko Noah, features contemporary art and photography that are trending in the forefront of culture, from the latest picks of the world’s art fairs, such as artist Josef Hoflehner, to museum quality portraits of inspirational figures, including Coco Chanel, David Bowie and Andy Warhol.
