Maui Lane Closures May 28 to June 3

The state Department of Transportation will be conducting a number of road projects on Maui during the week starting May 28, 2016, and ending June 3, 2016.

Department officials say lane closure scheduled may change at any time without further notice.  All projects are weather permitting.

The projects are listed below:

Hāna Highway (Weekend/Night Work)
Left lane closure on Hana Highway in the eastbound direction between the Garden of Eden Arboretum and Keʻanae Road on Friday, May 27, through Friday, June 3, over a 24-hour period, for roadway improvements

KAHULUI

Kūihelani Highway: (Weekend/Night Work): Left lane closure on Kūihelani Highway in the northbound direction between Honoapiʻilani Highway and Puʻunēnē Avenue in the vicinity of Maui Lani Parkway on Friday, May 27, through Friday, June 3, over a 24-hour period, for paving work.

Kaʻahumanu Avenue: (Night Work): Alternating lane closures on Kaʻahumanu Avenue in both directions between Kanaloa Avenue and Wākea Avenue on Tuesday, May 31, through Friday, June 3, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., nightly, for pavement marking and sign installations.

Kaʻahumanu Avenue: Alternating lane closure on Kaʻahumanu Avenue in both directions between Papa Avenue and Kahului Beach Road on Tuesday, May 31, through Friday, June 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for traffic signal improvements.

Aʻalele Street: Lane shifts on Aʻalele Street in both directions between Old Haleakalā Highway and Keolani Place on Tuesday, May 31, through Friday, June 3, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, for roadway improvements.

Old Haleakalā Highway: (Weekend/Night Work)
24-hour lane shifts on Old Haleakalā Highway in both directions between Aʻalele Street and Kala Road on Friday, May 27, through Friday, June 3, for roadway construction. Motorists are advised to follow all traffic control signs and drive with caution through the work zone. Flaggers will be stationed at the site to direct motorists through the area.

WAILUKU

Main Street: Alternating lane closure on Main Street in both directions between High Street and Lunalilo Street on Tuesday, May 31, through Friday, June 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for sign installations.
