Mokulele Airlines will once again celebrate King Kamehameha Day by “lei-ing” the first 500 passengers on Friday.

Mokulele Airlines will once again celebrate King Kamehameha Day by “lei-ing” the first 500 passengers who island hop on June 10 at all nine airport stations.

“Mokulele was founded in 1994 by a native Hawaiian, Rebecca “Kawehi” Inaba, with the goal of sharing the beauty of the islands with passengers,” said Rob McKinney, president of Mokulele Airlines. “Our mission to embrace her passion has only grown. That’s why we provide daily service to some of Hawai‘i’s smallest and most picturesque communities including Hāna, Waimea and Kapalua.”

Mokulele Airlines operates over 120 daily flights from nine airports—Honolulu and Kalaeloa (Barbers Point) airports on O‘ahu; Kapalua, Kahului and Hāna airports on Maui; Kona and Waimea airports on Hawai‘i Island; and Ho‘olehua and Kalaupapa airports and Mokoka‘i.

“King Kamehameha united the islands and the holiday that honors his legacy inspires us to make it convenient and affordable for kama‘āina and visitors alike to visit the Neighbor Islands,” said McKinney.
