Maui Crime, June 12–18: Burglaries, Break-Ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 22 burglaries, 12 vehicle thefts, and 14 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between June 12-18, 2016.

The number of vehicle thefts was up with 12 incidents reported of the 9 incidents reports a week earlier.  Of those, three of the vehicles have since been recovered.  The incidents were reported in Haʻikū, Kahului, Kīhei, Kula, Lahaina, Lānaʻi and Waiehu.

Burglary incidents were up to 22 from the 16 incidents reported the week before.

Vehicle break-ins were down to 14 from 30 incidents reported the week before.  The greatest number was in Kīhei, with six incidents reported over seven days.
