Mechanical Problems Disrupt Trash Service in Kula, Haʻikū

Mechanical problems: Haʻikū and Kula.

Due to mechanical problems, residential refuse on a collection route in Kula and Haʻikū areas was not picked up on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. All missed pickups are expected to be completed tomorrow, Wednesday, June 22, 2016.

Affected areas in Kula include the following: Haleakalā Highway; Holomakani; Naʻalae, Kolohala Rd, Lower Kula Rd, Kamehameiki, Pulehuiki, Wahealani, Kekaulike Ave and all surrounding streets and roads.

Affected areas in Haʻikū include the following: Kauhikoa, Haʻikū Rd, West Kuiaha, East Kuiaha, Ulumalu, Kaupakalua Rd, Holokai Rd and all surrounding streets and roads.

Representatives with the Solid Waste Division apologized in advance for the inconvenience and thanked the public for their understanding and cooperation.
