Today in Mexico, Maui surfers Kai Lenny and Albee Layer advance into the semi finals at the WSL Big Wave World Tour event, The Puerto Escondido Challenge.

Layer and Lenny finished the runner up and 3rd place in their round 1 heat of the big wave event.  This moves them into the semi finals which will take place Saturday morning, June 25, 2016 in Mexico.

With waves reaching heights upward of 25-30 feet with challenging conditions, both surfers showed extreme composure while trying to ride the monster waves.
