West: Surf is waist/chest high today with breaks blocked by other islands in the ankle/waist high range. The best breaks could get up to shoulder/head high.

South: Surf is waist/chest high today. The best breaks could get up to head high on the sets.

Screen Shot 2016-07-17 at 7.22.11 PMOur current south-southwest swell is forecast to hold through Monday before slowly fading Tuesday. We expect our next SSW to fill in Wednesday and Thursday.

Quiet in the North Pacific at this time.

East swell from tropical system Celia is expected to hold through early Monday before quickly fading. Darby is also likely to generate swell for us the second half of next week around the 21st. Estelle should also generate swell. Will keep an eye on the development and bring you details as they become clearer.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
