Queen Ka’ahumanu Announces Revised Maui Made Sunday Schedule and Fee
Queen Ka’ahumanu Center has revised the Maui Made Sunday and Cultural Connection Monday dates to the second and fourth weekend of the month, beginning Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016.
Maui Made Sundays are now from 9:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center. The event allows guests to enjoy a variety of live, island-style entertainment from Hālau O Na O Pua Pakipika to jazz musician, Gene Argel and friends, and traditional Hawaiian by Kuaola, while shopping Maui made products.
The booth fee has also been lowered to $45 per day plus state tax.
Cultural Connection Mondays will continue from 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. featuring the E’O Maui Hula Show, ‘Aumakua Polynesian crafting, and the Hawai’i History Moment.
“We are delighted to support Maui Made talent and invite visitors and kama’āina alike to shop while enjoying live island entertainment,” says Toni Rojas, Marketing Director at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center. “Our reduced Maui Made product booth fee makes it an affordable opportunity to showcase your product to the market,” says Rojas.
To be eligible to participate, applicants must be a business based in Maui County with a current State General Excise Tax license, and product(s) offered for sale must be made, manufactured, grown and/or created in Maui County.
