Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be around waist/chest/head high on the sets for spots around Hana.
West: Surf is ankle/knee high today. The best breaks could get up to knee/waist high out of the south-southwest.
South: Surf is around knee/waist high today. The best breaks could be a bit bigger from time to time.
Small south-southwest pulses linger into the next few days. Nothing significant through at least mid-month.
Trade swell will hold over the next couple of days with occasional overhead waves expected Sunday. Nothing major expected out of the North or East Pacific through the first week of August. Tropical Storm Howard and Ivette may generate some swell but nothing super significant expected at this point. Will keep an eye on it.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
