Olive oil is a culinary staple, found in many kitchen creations. Chef Lee Anderson of Sugar Beach Events Hawai‘i will teach you how to incorporate the Mediterranean ingredient in new, inventive ways in two separate classes that will be held on Saturday, Sep. 10 and Sunday, Sep. 11 from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Roll up your sleeves and expand your recipe book alongside Chef Lee, working in a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen and learning some tricks of the trade from one of Maui’s best teaching chefs.

Chef Anderson Lee of Sugar Beach Events Hawai'i will teach you how to incorporate olive oil in new and inventive ways in two separate classes that will be held on Sep. 10 and Sep. 11. Reservations are required and tickets are available. This is the second year of the Cooking With Chef Lee cooking series.

Chef Anderson Lee of Sugar Beach Events Hawai’i will teach you how to incorporate olive oil in new and inventive ways in two separate classes that will be held on Sep. 10 and Sep. 11. Reservations are required and tickets are available. This is the second year of the Cooking With Chef Lee cooking series.

In three and a half hours you will learn how to create a variety of dishes that include:

-Infused olive oils and focaccia
-Salted beet chips
-Caprese salad
-Olive oil poached shrimp with black garlic, goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes on pasta
-Quinoa with feta, craisins, kale and lemon
-Classic roasted chicken with garlic
-Grilled steak with garlic, olive oil and rosemary
-Dark chocolate mousse
-Lemon olive oil cake

The menu will be paired with Martinis, and include education and tasting notes by resident Mixologist, Carl Anderson.

Sugar Beach Events will provide all the kitchen equipment and supplies.

Reservations are required, you must be 21 or older to attend and tickets cost $95 per person. One drink will be included and a cash bar will be available for additional alcoholic beverages.

Sugar Beach Events wants to remind participants that they will be working in a commercial kitchen with knives and that safety is of primary concern. Please wear close-toed shoes.
