The University of Hawaiʻi Maui College has announced campus cancellations and early closures in association with the Hurricane Lester weather event.
University of Hawaiʻi Maui College and all other UH facilities in Maui County will close at noon on Friday, Sept. 2, and all events and classes are cancelled on Friday, Sept. 2 after noon, and Saturday ahead of Hurricane Lester.
The facilities that will close include:
UH Maui College
Hāna Education Center
Lānaʻi Education Center
Lahaina Education Center
Molokaʻi Education Center
All UH Mānoa College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources facilities in Maui County
All UH Mānoa Institute for Astronomy (facilities in Maui County
Events cancelled include:
* Maui Swap Meet on the UH Maui College campus
Updates, if any, will be sent to the UH community via UH email and/or UH Alert text message.
UH students, faculty and staff are encouraged to sign up for UH Alert to be informed via text message about emergency situations affecting the 10 campuses.
