The National Weather Service CANCELLED the FLOOD WATCH for MAUI COUNTY just before 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016.

The NWS forecast calls for the air mass over the islands will continue to gradually stabilize as the upper level low to the southwest of the state moves away.

The threat of flash flooding has diminished so the flash flood watch for Maui that was scheduled to expire at 6 p.m. was cancelled early.
