Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be waist/chest high in the morning with up to chest/head high waves by the afternoon.
West: Surf is knee/thigh high today. Spots catching the wrap will be bigger.
South: Surf is waist high today or less.
Today we’re down to leftovers from our current northwesterly swell but a dose of northeast is filling in. Saturday the north-northeast swell holds with new northwest filling in overnight. Multiple pulses of swell energy out of the northwest are expected for next week. The first pulse is due to fill in Tuesday into Wednesday. A bigger swell is forecast to build Wednesday into Thursday with another pulse expected Friday and into the weekend.
Nothing significant is expected out of the SPAC with minimal southern hemisphere swell around waist high or less today.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
