Fairmont Kea Lani Maui Names Director of Sales and Marketing

Hotel executives at the Fairmont Kea Lani announced the appointment of Shannah Milstead as Director of Sales and Marketing.

Shannah will oversee the 450-key all-suite and villa resort’s group and leisure sales divisions, conference services and catering sales, revenue management, marketing and public relations efforts.

Charles Head, General Manager at Fairmont Kea Lani, made the announcement saying, “We are elated to welcome Shannah back to Fairmont Kea Lani Maui to lead the resort’s sales and marketing programs.  Shannah’s strategic planning expertise, passionate leadership style, exceptional customer relationships and honed communication skills will drive the Fairmont Kea Lani to great success.”

Hotel executives say Milstead brings more than twenty years of senior leadership and expertise in sales and marketing of luxury hotels.

Most recently Milstead served as Executive Director, Sales Programs for FRHI Hotels & Resorts International where she was responsible for leading the worldwide sales programs strategy for all hotels and global sales teams within the Fairmont, Raffles and Swissôtel brands.


Her key projects included the redevelopment, implementation and governance of two new global sales incentive and compensation programs, sales training, collaboration tools and resources, divisional standard operating procedures and more.


Prior to this, Milstead held the position of Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Fairmont Hawai’i.

Milstead’s first appointment with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts was as Director of Sales & Marketing for Fairmont Dallas where she led her team to earn the distinction of 2010 FHR Sales Team of the Year.

Other senior sales positions included work at Prism Hotels & Resorts, Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort, ClubCorp and Bristol Hotels & Resorts.

In 2015, Shannah was recognized by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International as one of the Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing.
