Maui Electric Hosts Go EV! Event, Nov. 19
Maui Electric Company hosts a “Go EV” event on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the company’s offices located at 210 West Kamehameha Avenue in Kahului.
Maui Electric’s EV team will provide information on the benefits of using an electric vehicle. The free event also features a complimentary EV ride and drive, informational booths, food and prizes.
“As we continue to help our state reach 100% renewable energy, we recognize that the electrification of transportation will also play a central role in reducing Maui County’s dependency on fossil fuels and protecting our environment,” said Sharon Suzuki, president of Maui Electric. “As EV adoption continues to grow statewide, we wanted to help provide the opportunity for more people to experience and learn about this cutting edge technology that can help drive us to a cleaner and greener future.”
During the event, attendees are also invited to learn about new financial incentives programs such as Maui Electric’s new Time of Use rates.
Guests are welcome to test drive EVs on the market and meet with EV enthusiasts and community partners JumpSmart Maui, Jim Falk Motors, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Aloha Kia Maui.
American Savings Bank and Valley Isle Federal Credit Union will also be on hand with vehicle financing and alternative financing information.
