First Meeting of 100 Kids Who Care Maui, Nov. 26
The newly formed 100 Kids Who Care Maui host their first meeting on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 at the Maui Humane Society.
The mission of 100 Kids is to inspire the next generation of philanthropists by providing a forum to help and contribute to local charities.
Check-in starts at 10:30 a.m. and the meeting starts promptly at 11 a.m. on the front lawn. Those planning to attend are asked to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs.
Guests are welcome to stay after the meeting to visit the Maui Humane Society.
How it works:
Each child donates $10 per meeting to charity.
100% of their donation is given to charity.
Members will nominate a charity when they register.
Three charities will be randomly selected a week prior to the meeting to participate. A representative of the charity and the child who nominated it will present the charity to the group.
Members will vote for a charity they want to donate to.
Majority rule: The charity with the most votes will receive the group’s collective donations.
Anyone between the ages of 5-17 are welcome to become members. Those who are 18 years or older are welcome to join the 100 Women or 100 Men organizations. For more information and to register, visit www.100kidsmaui.com.
