Parking Fees to Benefit Friends of The Children’s Justice Center of Maui

The Shops at Wailea continues to give back to the community, supporting a different Maui non-profit each month with 60% of the special event parking fees going back to the non-profit. December’s non-profit recipient is Friends of The Children’s Justice Center of Maui. The Shops’ goal is to enrich the community through exploration and discovery in the culture, arts, and music while supporting the local businesses and non-profit partners. Four-hour event parking is available for $5 dollars and can be purchased at the non-profit’s parking table.

Friends of The Children’s Justice Center of Maui is a private, non-profit corporation, founded in 1989 by a non-partisan group of community and business leaders concerned with the social welfare of children and families who have been traumatized by abuse and severe neglect. The organization provides funding for education programs, counseling and medical services, after-school programs and everything in between. In the past year, FCJC has reached 8,000 children and parents through community events, provided funding for direct services to more than 900 children, and have delivered over 2,000 children’s Christmas gifts.
