Dear Mayor:
Q: When are you guys going to open the bathrooms at the new Maui Lani area? I go walking there all the time, below Ace Hardware, and it would be so convenient to be able to use the restroom there. Thanks.
A: The restrooms along Maui Lani Parkway will be turned over to the county by the developer early next year.
Once the county officially accepts ownership for the restrooms, they can be opened. The developer does not currently have plans to open them before the transfer takes place.
