Maui Surf Forecast
North: Overhead to double overhead surf is expected today at the best surf breaks. Ho’okipa eastward will see the biggest waves.
West: Surf is pretty flat today for most westerly exposures with slightly bigger waves at the best exposures catching the northwest wrap.
South: Surf is expected to be pretty flat today for southern exposures.
Our current NNW swell is still showing Wednesday, with highest surf near advisory levels along exposed N (and some W) facing shores. This swell should ease Friday through the weekend.
A trade wind swell will also show in the next couple of days. Surf, however, is expected to stay below advisory level until maybe late in the upcoming weekend.
Nothing significant is expected out of the SPAC in the near future.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
