Subaru’s Share the Love Sales Event Donates $5K to Maui Humane Society
Subaru Hawaiʻi has donated $30,000 to local nonprofits as part of its Share the Love sales campaign, now in its sixth year.
The sales campaign ran from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, 2016. During this annual sales event, Subaru Hawaiʻi donates $250 for every new car sold up to $30,000, and the total is divided evenly between six nonprofits in Subaru’s focus areas of learning, animals, and the environment.
This year’s beneficiaries are Friends of the Library of Hawaiʻi, Sustainable Coastlines Hawaiʻi, Hawaiʻi Island Humane Society, Hawaiian Humane Society, Maui Humane Society and Kauaʻi Humane Society.
“Our nonprofit beneficiaries are integral to our community, and it gives us great joy to support their work financially and by raising awareness with our annual Share the Love sales event,” said Glenn Inouye, Servco senior vice president, representing Subaru Hawaiʻi Dealers.
Subaru Hawaiʻi donated to Maui Humane Society $5,000 with a check presentation.
Jerleen Bryant, CEO of Maui Humane Society shared her organization’s experience as one of the community partners, saying, “Share the Love is a great initiative on behalf of Subaru Hawai’i. Not only does the sales event financially support our work, but it also raises awareness on the importance of adopting pets in our own community. Many of our shelter animals found new homes with the concurrent Subaru Hawai’i-sponsored Pet Adoption days and we appreciate Subaru Hawaiʻi’s commitment to our mission.”
