Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel Earns 12 No. 1 Rankings from HAWAII Magazine

The Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel in West Maui received a record-breaking number of accolades from HAWAII Magazine’s 2017 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Marketed as “Hawaiʻi’s Most Hawaiian Hotel” the Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel received 12 #1 rankings in various categories including “Number #1 Hotel,” “Best Maui Hotel or Resort for Families,” “Best Maui Hotel or Resort for a Romantic Getaway,” “Best Hotel or Resort Staff,” among other honors.

Its sister property, The Plantation Inn, located in the historic district of Lahaina, was voted “Number Two Best Bed & Breakfast or Inn,” one ranking up from last year.

The HAWAII Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards are a result of an extensive reader survey conducted by the magazine. Thousands of mainland US, Hawaiʻi and international readers participated in the 98-category survey, rating everything from the best Hawaiian hotels and resorts, bed-and-breakfasts and inns, beaches and activities, to the best places to eat, scenic road trips, fashion designers and coastlines in Hawaiʻi.

HAWAII Magazine tallied the picks of more than 200,000 surveys to arrive at the final award-winner list, in which Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel and The Plantation Inn were awarded the following rankings:
