A new sushi restaurant has opened at The Wharf Cinema Theater in Lāhainā and is ready to serve handcrafted sushi and Japanese style bento boxes.

The mother-and-daughter duo that opened Tiki Tiki Thai Cuisine on Front Street last year, Panompon (Pon) Jares and Parichart Chahong, have now opened Shaka Sushi Maui at The Wharf.

The new restaurant will have a variety of sushi options, including spicy tuna, shrimp tempura to dragon and rainbow rolls. If you’re in a hurry, Shaka Sushi has a quick and convenient to-go sushi bento box.

Shaka Sushi Maui is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and is located on the mid level.

Happy Hour provides $5 select sushi and appetizers Monday through Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Wharf Cinema Center is located at 658 Front Street in historic Lāhainā Town, across the street from the famous Banyan Tree. The Wharf’s Restaurants offer two hours of free, validated parking.
