Nightlife on Maui Taken to the Next Level: Sky Lounge, OSF, LIT

Nightlife on Maui is taking a step up, with three new venues offering a stylish and modern atmosphere for fun seekers looking for a memorable night on the town.

Sky Lounge Kahili. PC: NLE.

Sky Lounge Kahili is designed for the Movers and Shakers on Maui, offering a true VIP room.  It happens every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month at the Kahili Golf Restaurant (Upper Level).

“This night life party is designed for the people that want a higher end party experience. People that like dressing up to go out. People that enjoy showing off their style and trendiness, That’s what Sky Lounge is all about,” said ‘Trance,’ Program Director of Da Jam 98.3 FM, who has teamed up with The Next Level Entertainment Group Inc. to offer the new nightlife options.

For those that missed out on the premiere night, the next Sky Lounge takes place this Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.  The NLE DJ’s Joe Cortez and DJ LX plus DJ Jay-P spinning the hottest Top 40, EDM and Hip Hop. Hosted by Trance of Da Jam 98.3 and Jay J of NLE.

Dress code is strictly enforced.  That means no slippers, shorts, tees, sports attire or hats.

This event is for patrons 21 years of age and older with a cover charge of $20.

Old School Friday Live. PC: NLE.

Another nightlife option is Old School Friday Live at the at the King Kamehameha Ballroom. The next OSF event takes place on Friday, March 24, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.  The event is broadcast live on-air on Da Jam 98.3 FM starting at 10 p.m.

OSL brings back the legendary Keith Shimada (former DJ at Tsunami’s, Spats, Luigi’s, Maui Beach, Stylus Point Disco) for another special guest set along side NLE’s own Joe Cortez and DJ LX. Hype control by Jay J and hosted by Trance of Da Jam 98.3. Dress code is no slippers and no shorts. Cost is $10 cover.

LIT High School Teen Club. PC: NLE.

For the teen crowd, there’s an exclusive high school teen club, LIT, that takes place tonight, March 17, 2017 at the War Memorial Gym in Wailuku.

The War Memorial Gym will be transformed into the ultimate Teen Club with crazy lighting special effects, nightclub bumping sound system and Teen Glow Party.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the party goes until 10:30 p.m. The party is hosted by Trance and Mackie of Da Jam 98.3. The NLE DJs will be spinning Trap, EDM and Hip Hop throughout the night.

Enter The JuJu on The Beat Challenge and get a chance to win over $200 Cash and prizes; LIT Flask giveaways every hour; and the first 100 high school students through the door get a FREE LIT Foam Stick.

Party goers are encouraged to wear white or neon to be LIT.  Cover charge is $10.

This event is exclusive for teens only and entrants must show some form of picture ID: school ID, State ID or Driver’s License.

There is a zero tolerance policy, meaning no alcohol, no drugs, no vapes allowed at all teen events. Security provided by Hawaiʻi Events Security Services, LLC.  No large bags or backpacks are allowed. All bags will be subject to search.

Da Jam 98.3 FM teams up with Next Level Entertainment to host the three Maui nightlife venues.

“Teaming up with Next Level Entertainment creates the ultimate team to create such events. And also working with Anela Gutierrez (Director of Food and Beverage Operations King Kamehameha Golf Club & Kahili Golf Course Clubhouse) allows us to create our vision,” said Trance.

“I want to put my station in front of the eyes of my demo. Sky Lounge, Old School Friday Live and LIT covers the complete spectrum of Da Jam 98.3 demographics and their lifestyle,” he said.
