Imua Family Services Voted Best Places to Work in Hawaiʻi
Hawaiʻi Business Magazine has named Imua Family Services as one of the Best Places to Work in Hawaiʻi for the eighth time.
The list of “Best Places to Work” is published annually by Hawaiʻi Business Magazine.
Imua Family Services was previously awarded the Best Places to Work in 2008, 2010, and now for six years in a row since 2012.
Imua Family Services began in 1947 providing services to children with Polio in Hawaiʻi. Today, Imua continues making progress working with families and children together with a broad scope of child development programs including: Infant Child & Development Programs, Early Childhood Development Program, Imua Autism Services, Imua Inclusion Preschool, Camp Imua and Dream Imua.
The awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Hawaiʻi and the nation. Selection is based on a comprehensive review of each organization’s benefits, career development, training and retention as well as feedback from employees through an extensive survey.
Imua received their 2017 award on Thursday, March 30, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Oʻahu in a ceremony honoring all the companies who were given the award.
“I love to come to work because there is always something new and exciting to look forward to. I get to witness the changes each week that happen to the kids who visit us. Imua’s “Play it Forward” philosophy really does work and I get to see the progress in their development, which is very rewarding,” says Front Desk Manager, Jessica Snow.
“This is a special year for us at Imua Family Services as we celebrate our 70th Anniversary providing services to the children of Maui County. This organization has touched so many lives over the span of 70 years. The staff and Board of Directors are committed to our mission of ‘Empowering children and their families to reach their full potential.’ I am always impressed at the caring dedication that the Imua staff exhibits and I’m proud to be a part of such a great organization,” says Executive Director, Dean Wong.
