The University of Hawaiʻi Maui College will feature a special presentation of the Preserving Our Recollections series this month, featuring the late Maui Mayor Elmer Cravalho, as the guest.

Cravalho served as Maui’s first mayor, Maui County Chairman, and also Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The program is hosted by former Maui Superintendent of Education Darrell Oishi. The interview was conducted in May 2014. Cravahlo passed away two years later on June 27, 2016. He requested the interview not be aired until some time after his passing.
