Restroom Improvements at Haleakalā Summit Begin May 22

Work will begin on restroom improvements in the Summit District at Park Headquarters Visitor Center located at 7,000 feet.

The park plans to work on one restroom at a time while the other remains open. Portable toilets will also be available for visitor use.

The water filling stations and fountains will remain on for visitor use during the project.

The toilets at Hosmer Grove, Halemau‘u Trailhead, Kalahaku Overlook and the restrooms at 10,000 feet will remain open.

Park representatives apologized in advance for any inconvenience and thanked the public for their understanding as work is conducted to improve park facilities.
