Enchantress Gallery Launches New Location at The Shops
The Shops at Wailea welcomes Enchantress Gallery by Bootzie, a gallery featuring an exclusive collection of soulful and contemporary original artworks, sculpture, designer jewelry, fashion and more curated by Bootzie Alexandra and James Freeborne Welch.
“We could not be more excited to add Enchantress Gallery by Bootzie to our collection of fine art galleries,” said Brian Yano, General Manager of The Shops at Wailea. “Aside from showcasing captivating pieces, we’re thrilled to offer guests the opportunity to meet guest artists during special events we’ll be hosting.”
Bootzie Alexandra, longtime Maui celebrity stylist and boutique owner, launched Enchantress Gallery with artist James Freeborne Welch as a creative exploration of her fascination with beauty, art and hauté fashion.
The gallery will feature the treasured work of international artists such as Andrea Nottebohm, Linzy Arnott, Jay Johansen and Romeo Tomei as well as Hawaiʻi artists Walfrido Garcia, Lynette Pradiga, Hermine Harman, Kim Mosley and Christina DeHoff.
“We wanted to find a way to merge our undying passion for art and expression through beauty,” said Alexandra (“Bootzie”), co-curator of Enchantress Gallery. “James and I are thrilled to be able to feature well known international artists, as well as local Maui artists, in our collection. Our gallery is a convergence of beauty, art and community.”
Enchantress originally opened its doors in early April. To celebrate the new location, a grand opening celebration will take place on Saturday, May 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature live music, food and drinks as well as an opportunity to meet the artists. The first 25 guests will receive a complimentary gift and throughout the evening, with more than $2,000 in artwork and prizes to be given away. The event is free and open to the public.
Enchantress Gallery is located on the upper level near Nā Hoku and Kiʻi Gallery. Hours of operation are 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
