United Airlines to Add 4 Mainland to Maui Routes
United Airlines today announced an increase of service on 11 routes connecting the continental US and Hawaiʻi, now offering more flights between the mainland and Hawaiʻi than any other carrier.

Beginning December 20, United will increase service from its hubs in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco to Hawaiʻi. This includes daily flights to Maui from Denver and Chicago; an increase to three daily flights from LAX; and an increase to five flights daily from San Francisco.
The expansion comes as United celebrates 70 years of service to Hawaiʻi.
United already provides, and will continue operating its daily nonstop service to Honolulu from Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Guam and Tokyo.

“As we celebrate our 70th anniversary in Hawaiʻi this year, today’s announcement carries a very special significance for our customers,” said Jake Cefolia, United’s vice president of Sales in a company press release. “Our customers have asked for more ways to get to Hawaiʻi, and by adding these flights we are thrilled to make Hawaiʻi more accessible than ever for our customers traveling from the Midwest, Rocky Mountain and West Coast regions.”
George D. Szigeti, President and CEO of the Hawaii Tourism Authority said the combination of increased and enhanced service by United Airlines is “fantastic news for Hawaiʻi’s tourism industry,” especially with the number of direct flights being added to Maui, Kauaʻi and island of Hawaiʻi.
