Brush Fire at Pūlehu/Ōma‘opio Junction

Kula firefighters responded to a brush fire on Pūlehu Road that was called in by a passing motorist shortly after midnight on Monday, June 26, 2017,
Firefighters arrived on scene at 12:15 a.m. to find a 20 x 100 foot strip of grass and brush burning off the shoulder of the road at the Pūlehu Road and Ōmaʻopio Road junction.
The fire was extinguished at 1 a.m.
Fire officials say the cause of the fire was undetermined. There were no injuries reported and no structures were threatened.
