Emergency Crews Battle Vehicle Fire off of Haleakalā Highway

Maui police and fire crews are responding to a report of a vehicle fire, burning near bottom of Haleakalā Highway. The incident was reported shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017.
Witnesses describe the vehicle as a four-door truck and say the fire is located off of the highway, just after the cane haul road going Upcountry.
