The operation was carried out by Kīhei Patrol officers, in a collaborated effort with officers from the Plans & Training Section, Juvenile Crime Prevention Division and the Crime Reduction Unit.

Police say the operation was in response to complaints received by the Maui Police Department regarding the selling and use of illegal drugs in the area.

Among those arrested were a 31-year-old Kahului man, a 42-year-old Pāʻia man and a 50-year-old Makawao man for offenses that included: 2nd Degree Promotion of a Detrimental Drug; Promoting a Controlled Substance in a Public Park; 3rd Degree Promotion of a Detrimental Drug; and Prohibited Acts Related to Drug Paraphernalia.

All three were released pending further investigation.

Police say a fourth individual, Wesley Dansvy, 35, who has no local address, was arrested for unrelated warrants. His total bail was set at $2,500.
