Motorists are advised of a tree down on the Hāna Highway between Miles 8 and 9.  This is past Haʻikū, before the highway returns back to the 0 mile marker headed East.

Motorists report that the road was impassable in both directions as of 9:18 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017.

The tree reportedly fell down about at around 9 a.m., 15-20 minutes before this photo was taken.

Motorists can expect delays while emergency crews respond to the scene to clear the tree from the roadway.
