Maui Surf Forecast
North: Surf heights are expected to be head high to overhead today and strongest early in the day.
West: Surf heights are expected to be waist/chest high today. Spots blocked by islands could be flat.
South: Surf heights are expected to be waist/chest high today. Spots blocked by islands could be flat.
Our current south swell is forecast to hold pretty steady through the end of the work week and shift more southeasterly, then fade over the weekend. Nothing of note is expected out of the South Pacific until about mid-month.
A series of northerly swells is expected. The largest is expected to begin fading Friday and into the weekend. A small west-northwest swell is also in the mix but expected to fade out over the weekend as well. Another reinforcing swell from the north-northwest is due in next week Tuesday / Wednesday maybe up to chest high on the sets. Will keep an eye on it.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
