Plan Your Route: Maui Lane Closures for Sept. 11-15

The state Department of Transportation will conduct roadwork at various locations throughout Maui this week, resulting in lane closures and alternating lane closures between Monday, Sept. 11 and Friday, Sept. 15, 2017.

In Kahului, an alternating lane closure will be in effect on the Haleakalā Highway in both directions in the vicinity of North Firebreak Road on Monday, Sept. 11, through Friday, Sept. 15, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for cold plane and resurfacing work.

In Haʻikū, alternating lane closures are planned on the Hāna Highway in both directions between Mile 14 and 15 on Monday, Sept. 11, through Friday, Sept. 15, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for road maintenance.

And in Wailuku, night work is planned on Kaʻahumanu Avenue in the eastbound direction between Aku Place and Lunalilo Street on Monday night, Sept. 11, through Friday morning, Sept. 15, from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., nightly for sewer line work.

All projects are weather permitting and subject to change without further notice. Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the area and plan alternate routes accordingly.
