The Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce Foundation will join the County of Maui for the event, there will be Filipino food sampling and entertainment.

In 2008, the Hawaiʻi State Legislature passed Act 15, which established October as Filipino-American History Month to “commemorate the contributions of Filipino-Americans to the history and heritage of Hawaiʻi and the United States.”

“I invite all residents to attend the Maui Fil-Am Heritage Festival to discover the cultural diversity that makes Maui a special place to work, play and live,” said Mayor Alan Arakawa.
