Maui Surf Forecast
North: Surf heights are expected to be chest/head high today. The best breaks could get a bit overhead on the sets.
West: Spots catching northwest swell could get up to chest/head high today. Spots open to the southwest may get up to thigh high.
South: Surf heights are expected to be knee/thigh high today. The best breaks could get a bit bigger on the sets.
Our current small southwest is forecast to fade Thursday. A south-southeast will blend in to that. Not expected to get very much past waist high.
A reinforcing pulse of northwest is forecast to fill in Thursday and bring a new round of chest/head high surf to Maui’s northwest exposures. This swell will be short-lived and start to fade Friday.
Trade swell is forecast to bump up Thursday.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
