As of 7 a.m. today, ʻĪao Valley State Monument was reopened by the DLNR Division of State Parks. All debris on the road that led to its closure has now been cleared.
The closure was first implemented on Sunday afternoon when heavy rains resulted in downed trees that blocked both lanes of travel above Kepaniwai Park.
