KUmZ and Hālau I Ka Wēkiu to Perform at the MACC

On Sat. June 30, 2018 at 7 p.m., Nā Kumu Hula Karl Veto Baker, Michael Lanakila Casupang and Hālau I Ka Wēkiu from Oʻahu bring their love for hula to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center under the name KUmZ. The event, titled A Foundation of Love, celebrates the 20-year anniversary of Hālau I Ka Wēkiu and will share songs both old and new, as featured on KUmZ latest CD release.

Presented by the Kauakoko Foundation, this performance takes place in the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater. The Honolulu Star-Advertiser has praised KUmZ as “remarkable” and offering “eloquent and lovely musical postcards.”

Tickets are on sale now and range from $10 to $35 (plus applicable fees). To purchase tickets, contact the MACC Box Office at (808) 242-SHOW or go online at MauiArts.org. You can also visit the MACC box office in person, Tues. through Sat. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
